The Hartford Consortium for Higher Education (HCHE) represents 10 institutions of higher education and two affiliate members, Connecticut Public/CPTV/WNPR, TheaterWorks, in the Greater Hartford region. Collectively, HCHE boasts over 36,000 students and more than 4,000 professional personnel and faculty.

Since its inception in 1972, full-time HCHE member employees, have enjoyed tuition remission at each other’s campuses up to two classes per academic year.

In an effort to engage with the community and deepen relationships amongst other organizations, HCHE  is offering  Non-voting Affiliate Membership to other non-profits and limited businesses .

Non-voting Affiliate Member benefits

  • Allow your full-time employees the benefit of tuition remission at any participating HCHE member institution, up to two courses per academic year - this tuition benefit for full-time employees is an excellent recruitment and retention tool for current and potential employees
  • Facilitate greater access to the higher education leaders in the community
  • Deepen your relationship with the higher education community in general, through robust access to, and the ability to engage with students, faculty and staff
  • Provide a "seat at the table" and "shared costs" for specific partnerships, collaborations, events and initiatives with the higher education community

HCHE

  • The HCHE Non-voting Affiliate Member will offer incentive(s) – to be discussed and determined - to full-time students, faculty and staff of HCHE and HCHE (voting) member institutions.
  • A formal HCHE Non-voting Affiliate Member agreement will be provided for signature after final HCHE Board approval
